DANCE COMPANY 1994-2009

  Our youth dance company has existed in many forms and has been known by several names over the years.

From the 1980's through the early 1990's, our adult and youth dancers performed as a single combined troupe, the DiFranco Dancers.

   By combining the first letters of my name, Dianne, the name of Frank Quilantang and the word, Company; the name DiFranco was created.   Mr. Quilantang is the highly-aclaimed, esteemed, multi-faceted local artist, who wears many hats:  dancer, director, choreographer, instructor, costume and set designer.  Mr. Quilantang is the mentor and inspiration for Ms Dianne's vocation in dance. 

  In 1994, the DiFranco DanceStars, a separate youth group was formed.   In 2002, HEAT was created as a special competitive/performance company and Dianne Lyle's larger student group continued to perform as the DiFranco DanceStars.... and is currently known as the DiFranco DanceProject
